when solving absolute value equations, how would i solve 15 -2k =45?

15-2k=45
Subtract 15 on both sides so you're left with letters on one side and on the other side numbers. So that would be -
-2k=45-15
-2k=30
Now you divide both sides by two so you get k on it's own and it's value on the other side. So that would be -
k=-15
So k equals -15.

15-2k = 45
   +2k = +2k
      15 = 45+2k
    -45 = -45
    -30 = 2k
      /2 = /2
    -15 = k
