To find the slope of a line passing through 2 points use the
gradient formula
Using the formula

M=y2–y1/X2–x1
Where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are 2 points
Let (x1,y1)=(1,-5) and (x2,y2)=(5,7)

M=(7-(-5)/(5–1)=7+5/4=3

M=3
